In 2025, Sogn Jord- og Hagebruksskole (SJH) in Aurland received support from NOREC (Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation, formerly the Norwegian Peace Corps) to coordinate an exciting exchange project in collaboration with the Nyenga Foundation in Uganda. The project focuses on adapting to climate change, establishing a seed bank that ensures relevant and affordable seeds are available, and producing protein for animal feed using black soldier fly larvae that feed on food waste.
